Tickled to find this Forum.  I am about to purchase UF5 (doing the eval tutorials, now) and begin a serious (albeit amateur) investigation of fractals and in particular the mechanical "look" ala Jock Cooper and Michael Barnsley (and any others I can find).  My wife is a quilter and also a lover of fractals.  We look forward to an interesting journey here in FF and with UF5.  i can see I have a lot to learn!
