Recently, I saw an image of the INSIDE of the mandelbulb done by a member here.  I have tried the cutting function, but that gives a flat surface, as if the bulb were solid.  How do you render images of the inside surfaces of objects?  Thanks.

Maybe you could use Trafassel's Gestaltlupe > http://github.com/trafassel/Gestaltlupe

Is that a formula I can use in Mandelbulb 3D?  The link isn't especially clear, and the readme file is empty.
Thanks,

No inside view in M3D unfortunately sad

I think the reasons why are explained in Trafassel's thread.

In julia-mode it's possible to make nice shots from the inside. x=1 y=0 z=0.

If you're talking about this (see attached), even if it's hollow, that's not really the inside unfortunately.

Naw, I was thinking of the actual interior of the bulb.  I DO like the things you can conjure up with Julia mode, tho.  There are excellent possibilities, always. smiley
