Many Thanks!

other 93 maps on http://photocomix2.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4rzomyAnyway M3D may use Maps for lighting, and for color objects, i designed mine mostly for the second task (well most should be adapt to both task ) (and are very sensitive to offsetting, the minimum change in the x,y or z offset may considerably alter the effect (i use the computer "<" and ">"to fine-tune their position because sliders tend to skip intermediate values )

that would make more sense
BTW Darkbeam was joking about sphere mapping ? there are tons of options that i discover little by little but if there are options for any kind of bump map should be very well hidden !

I think that was a reference to "SphereHeightMap" in the dIFS formulas. That's how I made this: I just used the same image for the Height Map and the Light Map (had to flip one horizontally so they lined up properly).

It's a formula in the dIFS section: I think that was a reference to "SphereHeightMap" in the dIFS formulas. EDIT : There's also HeightMapIFS if you want it planar instead of on a sphere.
