dense threads become bulbs

It's probably already well known, but I was surprised that if you zoom into the strip between the circular bulb and cardioid, the envelope of the threads have a bulb structure that is nearly similar to the main bulb structure. As you travel down the seahorse valley, the seahorses get more and more dense and closely spaced until they look like a continuous structure. The same is true for the spiral valley.

The main circle is the black region to the left, and you can see the high order child bulbs. The threads coming out from the bulbs are too small and dense to be individually seen, but the envelope forms bulbs themselves. Crazy.
