Hi.

I'm just a dabbler with Freeware, but I have some nice images I only barely grasp the math behind.

I've been looking for a decent Fractal Forum to play in, and this one looks nice!

Here's a Fractal Smiley I'm trying to perfect:

So far I've had great fun playing with 2 pieces of freeware in particular, and have just started writing new color maps for one of them.

I look forward to meeting new people, as well as learning more about theory and how to push these programs harder!

Peace.

Greetings, and Welcome to this particular Forum !!!    cheesy

It is a bit different here than some of the other forums you may have joined.    wink

Would you mind listing some of the fractal generators you have used??

I stick to freeware.

My favorites are Chaoscope and Chaos Pro.

Everything I've posted here is from one of those.

Except for Mutatorkamme Beta!  It's an honor to have been the first to post an image from that Nifty Toy!

Have you tried Fractal Explorer? It's my main vehicle for exploring fractal universes. I haven't been able to get Mutatorkammer to run yet, but I'm expecting a newer computer soon - maybe it will like it.

I just got Fractal Explorer over the weekend.

I posted an animated gif from my first half hour with it elsewhere.  Nice Toy!

Like the others, it will take time to get good with, but I shall.

Mutatorkamme is Fun to play with, if a bit more random than the others.  I will need another weekend to get good with it.

I would buy a top of the line one, but I have no credit card!  Most seem to require that for purchase.

Their loss.

Thanks for the Welcome, but Ultra Fractal seems to be among those that require Money to own, so it's at the bottom of the list!

I always stick to freeware whenever possible!

If anyone wants to buy me a copy, I'll do Work for them with it...  but I am in no position to buy anything.  I don't even own a credit card that they'll take!  (I use all store-specific cards) and my relationship with paypal ended badly.

I really wish it were otherwise, but I just have to wait on ANY program that is not Freeware (I wont bother with trials because I might like the toy, then lose it!!).

I need more jobs!

Great News!

If anyone wants them, I'll gladly post my color maps or csproj files for Chaoscope!

Just ask...

I can't imagine anyone bieng upset by posting images in any thread here! (that's a nice one too!)

...

Unless they happen to be the type of images I have been known to make!!

THOSE can be ...   well  ...  let's just say, Different.
