Nice! I'm still struggling with clipping in Mandelbulb 3D, so don't feel too bad about it. I think we need a Tutorial on that topic

Very nice ! After the wonderful images you posted, you HAD to do the animation Regarding clipping in animations, I could advise the following approach in M3D : - Use the navigator and make sure the "fixed zoom and steps" box remains unchecked - don't target an object while moving forward if there are other objects on the trajectory - Instead, target the nearest objects then when you are close enough, move the camera to pass by the surface the object, that gives neat results (I tend do to that in almost all my M3D animations) - Experiment, test, try, etc...

Thanks bib, and thank you for the tip! In this case I just used the parameters from the images, and of course I did not know how the clipping affected the frames in between. I'll see if I can put some more time in to this, more keyframes might be a good idea too I think... Seams like the embed code I got from youtube was as bad as the clipping And thank you Socratese for the kind words!

For the Youtube link, don't use the "embed code". Simply paste the http:\\www.youtube... link and the forum will do the rest.

I am also rendering 2 2000+ frames animations at the same time, with some more zooming (and simultaneous transforming for one of them). This time I tried to take care of the smooth introduction and conclusion to avoid the abrupt ending effect Hopefully will be done in 1 or 2 days

i think i am always going far to deep ( in fact until floating pont resolution leaves me ) this makes it longer and longer and loonger ...
but it loks promising, but i have to admit that i have problems in choosing such beautiful colors

Yes, setting colors in M3D is sometimes a bit like a random process! What I do when I find a pleasant setup is save it. To that end, click on the M button at the bottom of the Lighting window and select an empty location to save your color paramters. You can also save them to disk when all locations are used.

Looking forward to see your renderings, what pixel size are the animations you do? Mine was only 720 x 480 pixels (cheated at the export to get hdtv ) and 1101 frames took about 12 hours... without antialiasing, but I do have an old setup... Do yoou use AA on your current renders?

did i mention that i love the new camera movements both programs now feature ?
those really make fantastic cinematic effects, it is absolutely amazing to move the camera around an object ...

I do not use AA either. At first, I had started to render in 1440*1080 but I realized it would take too long, so I re-lauched them in 1080*720. Anyway, the result after uploading to Youtube is not very good, so why bothering with too high quality...
