Thank you. Yes, its been a while...

But I have to say, without K-OZ this animation would not exist. He kept me going. And did those awesome visual effects. It was a really great collaboration. (Though I don't want to diminish Strongground's contribution - His model is really nice).

Yay, looking forward to it. We plan to be at Evoke again, though I will not release anything major - at least not on my own. There might be some music though. =)

Oh yes, I did. And it is special, I really feel honoured. Thank you, weavers!

2nd in the anim/video compo. Looks like this is becoming a habit. =D

I'm afraid for the usual reasons when an animation is finished. We started end of January, when the first version of the soundtrack was ready - which took just two evenings until is was virtually finished. Followed by 2,5 months of intense work, which ate up a lange share of our available free time. Thus I will probably stay clear from fractal programs for some time if I can help it. =)

Fantastic video! Very good composition of various fractals with the music
I wish it could be downloaded to watch without lag. This video is worth watching in a proper way.

Thank you Dinkydau, please try this.

Fun thing we observed while checking Youtube and Vimeo: The choppiness seems to relate to the videoplayer inside the browser. We experienced choppy playback in Firefox, so I downloaded the video from Youtube (jdownloader does a nice job there). The resulting mp4 file, while compressed to mush, is perfectly smooth. Likewise with Vimeo.

What Vimeo did to the audio is a different story:

Original-AAC 44100Hz stereo 256kbps
Youtube-AAC 44100Hz stereo 253kbps -Looks like it was unnecessarily recompressed, but at about the same bitrate, so it should not sound much worse.
Vimeo-AAC 48000Hz stereo 147kbps-Resampled and only little more than half the bitrate. Bad news for sound quality.

YouTube has very good audio indeed. They increased the bitrate not a long time ago.
Usually vimeo allows the videos to be downloaded, but this time there was no download button. Also I used to have an extension to download from youtube, but it stopped working a while ago. My computer also plays downloaded videos well. It's just the unefficient browser players that lag all the time.
