Dear Moderators.

Is it possible to open a new Forum for Fractal Research and Products.

Jules Ruis.

Jules I said "Real world fractal applications" would be the best place for it.

Any other mods have an idea?

Hi both really.  I am not against making a new Fractal Research board per se - in fact I think the board 'chaos theory -> brand new theories' has taken off better than I expected.

I am trying to get companies like Fractus to come on board and publish details of fractal research - this hasn't happened so far, but the whole idea of fractals in research is a very exciting one.

I need other mods to offer comment.

Hi Jules,

This topic seems interesting to me. Can you explain what do you mean with "Prototyping"? Just draw a picture; make animation, or create a model or a piece of software.

From what I see at this page, you mean to create some fractal shapes that look like objects from real life. I have done much work to create models based on mathematical formulas, which after rendering represent real objects such as buildings or machines. However it is completely misty for me how this can be used for practical purposes except for producing nice looking pictures.

This is really interesting and I could mention a number of similar implementations (e.g. development of computer chips). But are you aware of the technology, which has to be used to produce the real thing out of the computer calculated blueprint?
