Previous Image | Next Image | ||||||
Description: Created using Ultra Fractal. A view from 45 degrees above the "Real 3D" Mandelbrot sliced in half using a flat plane through the X-axis. As the plane is rotated around the X-axis then when the plane is at 0 degrees (i.e. the plane is X-Y) and when the plane is at 90 degrees (i.e. the plane is X-Z) then you see that the cross-section produced (in orange) is the standard complex Mandelbrot Set.
