reallybigname | November 30, 2010, 09:51:46 AM Christmas! |
KRAFTWERK | November 30, 2010, 09:02:16 AM Like it a lot bib! And the sand adds to the depth of the image! |
Osipenkov | November 30, 2010, 08:26:24 AM Very very nice!!! |
Tglad | November 30, 2010, 04:05:37 AM Nice shell ![]() strangely I also get the same sandy effect when rendering similar fractals in ultra fractal. http://nocache-nocookies.digitalgott.com/gallery/4/853_11_11_10_11_52_38.jpeg Maybe something to do with the distance estimation or normal calculation not working well on discontinuities. |
Guest | November 30, 2010, 02:13:37 AM I love it. Personally, I like the sand effect noise. I've created a number of Bulbox/_Rotate images that came out looking like rather natural environs, because they were loaded with it. I do put the raystep multiplier down to .2 or .1 in most cases, and it resolves wonderfully. The Rev |
Jesse | November 29, 2010, 11:13:53 PM Looks great, but i thought the noise would vanish too... so it belongs to the object!? ..interesting |
bib | November 29, 2010, 08:33:01 PM image edited: recalculated with a much lower raystep multiplier to remove too obvious artifact, but the sand effect remained, which is exactly what I wanted. Thanks Jesse! |
Jesse | November 29, 2010, 07:03:36 PM also thought you gave the new feature an audience (visuence?), though with a very low raystep multiplier it should vanish. but i like it as it is ![]() |
Bent-Winged Angel | November 29, 2010, 05:58:51 PM Ya see that 's why art is soo subjective to who is viewing it. I saw the "noise" as a sandy texure used for contrast! ![]() |
bib | November 29, 2010, 05:48:05 PM Yes, can not get rid of this noise. I gues it is due to some small artifacts that are amplified by hard shadows. But I also think it gives the image some character. |
cKleinhuis | November 29, 2010, 05:45:35 PM a bit noisy, but nice set up! |
