Single precision floats were used on the GPU, and this is already zoomed in very far so these artifacts become visible.

Very nice.  I noticed a subtle horizontal line pattern to it.  I'm not sure if that is intentional or a rendering artifact, but I think it's aesthetic and adds to the image.
