Don Whitaker | March 28, 2013, 06:19:45 AM Very cool. You are creating some fantastic, detailed prints. ![]() |
bib | March 01, 2013, 03:38:27 PM Thanks Brent and Alef ![]() It's true that it looks better on the thumbnail, but even better for real ![]() Can you spot it in this photo? ![]() http://www.impressions3d.com/2013/02/28/shapeways-world-meetup-paris-2013/ |
Alef | February 28, 2013, 04:57:13 PM Wow great, +6. But probably too small for your camera, coz in thumbnail it looks even better. |
dainbramage | February 28, 2013, 01:40:47 AM Great photo of this one! |
bib | February 27, 2013, 05:13:46 PM Bon appétit J, but not sure that sandstone is very digestible, not mentioning what it can do to your teeth if you bite too hard ![]() BTW here is the inside of the beast, it's definitely one of the most fascinating 3D prints I've made. I said elsewhere that it was kind of my "Holy Grail" : - "Spheres on spheres" type of fractal - Spikes all over the place - Looking similar to the Quasi-Fuchsian that was one of the starting point for Daniel White's quest - Fractal details in the 3 dimensions - Looks like 2D M-Set in negative on some slices. (smaller and smaller circles upon a large arc of a circle) - Hey, looks like a 3D Mandelbrot, don't you think? (well, no spirals, seahorses and so on, but let me dream on!) ![]() |
