A Seahorse Odyssey XLIIISpring Garden XdVentilation
Spring Garden Xd
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: Since Spring Garden c concluded, we jump straight from b to d. This zoom is inside the "steel wool spiral" in Spring Garden IXd, but it doesn't look much like steel wool at this magnification. Instead it looks like a riotous growth of colorful flora and spiraling creepers.

Centered is a doubled red lake with a double spiral in the middle -- clearly, two copies of where we were a few zooms ago, joined at where we are now, and a strong signal that we're approaching a minibrot. Other, similarly-shaped doubling zones are scattered about, as well as false doubling zones such as the large one a bit right of center near the bottom.

This amazing riot of shapes and colors will continue the rest of the way down to the minibrot in this branch. Stay tuned!
