cytotox | March 02, 2012, 02:49:23 PM Ah, ok! I had feared that this might be the case. ![]() So, I need patience (and maybe a faster PC as well ![]() |
bib | March 02, 2012, 11:46:20 AM Hi cytotox. I'm afraid there is no magic, only patience! As you said, decrease stepwidth limiter & raystep mulitplier a lot. And calculate in very high size so that when you scale down, the noise almost disappears... I don't remember exactly how long this image took to render, maybe 20 hours or more. ![]() |
cytotox | March 02, 2012, 11:10:17 AM Hello Bib I just started to play around with these two formulas in 'alternate' combination. May I ask what measures you take to avoid the noise that seems to manifest everywhere and that is probably due to incompatibility between the reciprocal formula and the DE method. Your renders look completely artefact-free to me ... The usual method of decreasing stepwidth limiter & raystep mulitplier increases calculation times drastically, but does not seem to be able to completely solve the problem. |
