Description: Anthrophomorphic Couple Sucking the Pregnant and Lactating Milk of the Ring of Hope 26"x20"Oil on Canvas I am pleased today to present my latest painting, a painting, like many of the great paintings in history, looks calm in its simple landscape exterior, but underneath lies worlds barely seen. This soft and anthropomorphic form is remarkable for many reasons, but first because it is mathematically formed, a mandelbulb, or 3D fractal. Read an in depth investigation of the work here, http://www.louismarkoya.com/#!anthrophomorphic/c15w1 ANd see its relationship to Dali's Persistence of Memory Up next something completely different, an Homage to Android Jones, based on a flame fractal, and natural elements Visit www.louismarkoya.com for more fantastic work Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 238.84kB Height: 750 Width: 1000 Discussion Topic: View Topic Keywords: Markoya Dali Mandelbulb landscape fractal Posted by: LMarkoya March 28, 2015, 12:01:11 PM Rating: by 10 members. 3dickulus | April 12, 2015, 07:27:55 PM I get the impression of a couple protecting and nurturing a family of small ones as they grow and make their way into their respective worlds. to me, gleaning something like that from an image makes it an important one. Very nice LM |
LMarkoya | April 12, 2015, 01:36:33 PM Thank you guys, after living with the work a while I have come to realize an entirely new meaning to the work. That is, the mushroom like forms are actually neural receptors, and the bending of the couples towards each other is to allow the formation of new neural networks within each other as a result of becoming a couple....possibly the most admirable reason to become a couple |
taurus | April 08, 2015, 01:34:21 PM Nicely done Louis! Very nice composition... |
KRAFTWERK | April 03, 2015, 04:19:37 PM Great work Louis! Somehow I missed out on this one. And I love your comment jehovajah! |
jehovajah | April 03, 2015, 10:54:36 AM These Shunyasutras or trochoidal forms are natural plasma forms found in liquid gas and viscous deformations. They originate in the magneto sono Thermo electro complex we call space. Unfortunately for too long we have believed space to be " empty", whatever that means, whereas at every scale these forms exist either visibly or invisibly. Some great work , idealising forms that may only exist in time for an instant before transforming. |
LMarkoya | March 28, 2015, 11:36:42 PM Thank you Joe, its a process, which I am constantly evolving, soon I think it will be kicked up a notch |
