Fractals are forever!!!HOLY GRAIL of Complex NumbersPostcard from Guatemala
HOLY GRAIL of Complex Numbers
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: About four years ago in April 2013 I found the Holy Grail in a fractal formula and 3D printed it.

To celebrate this I have now made a 3D print of the 9th Zoom-in on the smaller Grails inside the original Grail (the one you see in the artwork above is the original, you see the 2nd Grail inside the bowl at the top).
Check out the photos and 3D-view of it here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/44AJFCH6E/

The 9th Holy Grail of the Holy Grail is smaller but with the same amount of detail as the original (I’ve learned a lot since… wink ), the smaller size of course also makes it a lot cheaper to print. And I found it both even more beautiful and more Grail-like than my original piece.

At this Zoom level… if the final, 9th Grail is 8cm high, the original is 1073741824 cm -that is 10737 km or 6 672 Miles high… Making the 9th 134217728 times bigger in this new print than it was in the original Grail.

Yeah,  I try to keep up with the 3d-printing, things go fast.It is azaming.
Like the constructions in your link,  and off course you know about the 3d brigde in Amsterdam:  http://mx3d.com/projects/bridge/  (fo who is interested)

Your "THE EVENTS HORIZON"  is stunningly beautiful and I could walk in it for a whole dream (and longer;)  This would very well be a great VR project.    Did you know about 'our'  movie theater in Amsterdam  for only VR  movies?  Maybe you should contact them.  I would go!

I was in a very large open field this afternoon walking the dog and I was thinking, wouldn't  it be great if it was possible to show art like this in 'real-size' (or smaller in your case, for we have to fly around it in our space-ship wink  with for example holography?
Maybe a sea-show somewhere out the coastal area where it is dark, and sometimes we could see such wonderous art.  Not all the time for we don't want to disturb nature too much.   A Beer Cup  Oops  it is almost time for an afernoon drink but I'm already talking nonsense cheesy
Have a great evening everybody!
