Flying Dragon Dancing Phoenix
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: Sorry, I post again because kanji characters are not displayed correctly..

The word consisting of four kanji shown in this image is a Chinese/Japanese lucky word, meaning a scene where dragons and phoenixes are flying in the sky.

Although I can't write these kanji here, its pronunciation is "Long-Fei-Feng-Wu" in Chinese or "Ryu-Hi-Hou-Bu" in Japanese. The first kanji means a Chinese dragon and the third one means a Chinese phoenix. The second and fourth ones mean to fly and to dance respectively.

In this image, this word is written in an ancient (two thousand years ago) style of handwriting.

An infinite number of this lucky word are embedded in a fractal space -- a part of the Mandelbrot set. These look like shining stars in a galaxy, or supernatural existence (e.g. dragons and phoenixes) scattered throughout the universe.

This image uses the same technique as our iPhone app "Infinite World Clock":

Generated by a software for fractal logo written by myself. No post work.

Note: This image has nothing to do with a movie of the same title.

Hi Alef,

Thanks for your reply.

After reading your reply, I found the topic "Poll: Where are you from?" and your comment referring asian members in this forum. I didn't understand the context of your first comment to my post. Thank you for clarifying it!

And I searched your brahmabrot and other works and found that you have nice  mathematical and coding skills to create new fractal images. I respect you!

By the way, can I ask your best work ever? I would like to know the level you
are talking about.

Probably my best works could be in this years still frame or axolotl section. Or my brahmabrot works based on rendering technique I implemented in Chaos Pro and Ultra Fractal.
Anyway, I was just continiuing discussion in meet ang greet section about fractalformus beeing almoust solely european;) It had nothing to do with an image. So maybe I caused a bitt of confusion.

Hi Alef,

Thanks for your comment.

My theme is quite simple: Combination of artificial figures and fractal images.
I think characters are one of the most artificial figures in the world and their
combination with fractals is quite attractive to me.

I posted this image because I wanted to know whether I can share this feeling
with other people who are interested in fractals. If you know previous similar
works, please let me know.

I know there are highly advanced formulae and tools many people are using.
But they are too powerful for the above purpose. So, at least for now, I am not
interested in using complex techniques.

By the way, can I ask your best work ever? I would like to know the level you
are talking about.
