If he would have known all that had transpired since his departure beforehand, he knew he would never have persisted in his quest and would never have reached the Henge that he had just entered. It seems that heroes are just victims of circumstance, he reflected. Not that he thought of himself as a hero. It was just that others treated him like one. And all just because he had had to defend himself once or twice during his journey. Nothing no one else would have done.
