in fact this one could have been as well entered to the "axolotl" section, just because i see a clear face cheesy at least my brain does it  alien

I did some DOF tweaking to make the background blurry, which makes the center appear that much sharper, and draws attention to it.
Then I added the black border around the image to help focus attention and "pop" the colors a bit.
Everything else is right from MB3D.
I hope these manipulations are allowed, if not I will certainly withdraw my submission!
