Cool picture and yes similar to Tarkus which I bought back then but never could get into.

However two earlier ELP songs I still listen to are the cool Lucky Man and the  even much more cooler From The Beginning. Aaah why did Greg Lake have to leave King Crimson. I still listen to "Islands" and also now since my nephew turned me on to it, the semi-more recent "Discipline". King Crimson A Beer Cup A Beer Cup A Beer Cup

Thanks for the comments, guys, and apologies! The ELP comment was a little flippant and a flimsy reference to Tarkus. It was certainly not my intention to upset any Prog-rock sensibilities! I used to have "Pictures at an exhibition" and "Brain salad surgery", but that would have been some 35 years ago! Perhaps I need to revisit.
I have seen the footage of Emerson at Filmore, a great showman, but I fail to see how destroying a perfectly good Hammond relates to the act of music! =D
Great to see that the mighty beast of King Crimson is to return to active service in Autumn!!

Keith Emerson is a keyboard legend, and ELP were somewhat revolutionary...I saw them a few times back in the day...but my best Keith Emerson moment was at Filmore East with the Nice, when he played "I Want to Live in America" on a hammond organ, using large daggers in his hands
Like thew image very much...similar to Architecture designed by Complex Geometry

When you say you "Never really got ELP" do you mean owned any or understood them?

They are one of the precious few rock bands I can stand to listen to  (maybe 6 or 8 rock artists at the most can be on for more than a minute without grating on my nerves).

I love them for their electric versions of Classical Music!

Look for an album called "In Concert" - it put them broke because they toured with the entire London Philharmonic Orchestra and played Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky's Pictures At An Exhibition, The theme from the TV show Peter Gunn, and a lot more.

Well worth investigating.

Nice image, by the way - and it is a bit reminiscent of Tarkus!
