THE EXOPLOREREndless Center Pattern
Endless Center Pattern
Previous Image
Description: HPDZ Buffalo is fascinating since it has a clear center pattern, which can be zoomed into endlessly without finding any minibrot.
It seems the pattern is unique at all depths, since even though the density seems to grow with depth, the rate of increase seems to be slowing.

The movie was rendered with Kalles Fraktaler 2.10, which includes "unlimited" zooming capabilities in 63 different formulas.

I usually do not like zoom-movies, but this one is great, 5 stars!

These are very interesting. How exactly can I find them?

I mentioned this in another thread, but the HPDZ buffalo is a quadratic fractal, having both second and first order components. A hypothetical "1st order" fractal would have periodicity at wholes rather than halves (2nd order) or thirds (3rd order) of the zoom depth. One whole squared, cubed, etc is still one whole, so the an infinite series of terms will never converge on a minibrot. The HPDZ buffalo seems to share this property. Patterns appear to repeat themselves with subtle variation. I did a test zoom up to e500 or so from a relatively shallow fork depth of e12 and the patterns do not appear to get more dense or complex. Very odd behavior this one has.

Very interesting idea. I guess this could be a very interesting way to create screensavers.

Aren't these found in the normal burning ship as well? I think I have seen some in there as well.
