Unexpected Chain of Trees
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: A chain of trees. These structures are more commonly in 'inner' areas where the bailout condition is not met and are coloured using exponential smoothing. This one is coloured by iteration and is an 'outer' area.

Parameters

Formula: Cubic

z = transform(z)
z = alpha*z^3 + beta*z^2 + gamma*z + c

alpha = 1 + 0i
beta = 0 + 0i
gamma = -2 + 0i
Number of Transforms: 1
Transform 1: top right
Complex plane transform: none
Initial values of z: c
Image centre: 1.195478 - 0.025055i
Long side: 0.003955
Rotation about image centre: 0 degrees
Bailout condition: norm(z) > 16
Maximum iterations: 1000
Colour selection: outer on bailout otherwise inner
Outer: iteration
Inner colouring: not applicable, all points are outer
