I too have much to learn. The fun part of fractal exploration is trying out different fractal equations/programs, transformations, and coloring algorithms and seeing what happens. When you find something that looks really cool its like finding hidden treasure!

As you can most likely see from viewing my DA gallery, I don't
actually have a handle on the math involved in fractals as yet.

I just work with the transformations, and plug in different numbers and palettes till I like what I see.  This doesn't
mean I wont keep trying to get fractal math inside my
noggin; I was good with exponential expressions when
I was in school.  Mind you, this was nearly 40 years
ago...lol!

Thanks Hypnogems!

Yes, it's a 2300X magnification about the point -0.479067325669369 and rotated 90 degrees with a complex transformation applied: f(z) = z/(1+z) - 1/(1-z).

The coloring is based on the minimum of the expression r = p1-p2 where p1/p2 are the orthocenter/incenter of the last 3 orbit points.

Ahhh I see! *as light bulb suddenly  appears over head*
A zoom in on one section, yes?

Beautiful, Ross!  This looks like no Mandelbrot I've ever seen...
