Description:
Fragmentarium - Juliabulb

I don't make bulbs very often, so I wanted to try one with this rendering script, a combination of volumetric rendering with specular surface lighting.
Actually I made something like this some time ago, but it was monochrome and combining the renderings in Photoshop. This has some subtle coloring, DOF, and it's a raw render, no post-work... I added the lighting and DOF parts of Syntopia's default rendering script to my own volumetric raytracer.

Thanks Louis! I used the well known mandelbulb because it seems to be the fractal that works best with this rendering technique, but I'm trying with other formulas, and also a mandelbulb mod of mine that I forgot to use smiley

Beautiful in its complex simplicity....great render qualities, subtle coloring and DOF
Nice job
