Smooth iteration colouring
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This is a render of the bulb, solid based on DE threshold alone, colouring 100% smooth iteration. As you can see, choosing the correct settings means you can use the smooth iteration colouring for pseudo-ambient occlusion in the same manner as orbit trapping. The thing is that maybe a distance estimate can be calculated wholly using the smooth iteration value and the orbit trap (to origin) value since adjusting the smooth iteration value by the orbit trap value correctly will give us the distance estimate value - see the "Orbit trap colouring" image: http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1372 Stats: Total Favorities: 0 View Who Favorited Filesize: 402.53kB Height: 800 Width: 800 Keywords: mandelbulb smooth iteration mandelbrot fractal digital algorithmic ultrafractal Posted by: David Makin ![]() Rating: Has not been rated yet.
