lol, i just watched the pinterest collection of natural fractals, and then i saw this, the depth of field and sharpness in this image with the colors makes it quite real!

Thanks a lot !! I really pulled & pushed in all directions to get away from perfectly machine created fractals lol !!
Fractal software creates images in a kind of mathematical vacuum, whereas fractals in nature are subject to interaction with
other elements . . . insects . . . decay . . . winds . . . rain . . . and so on . . . I have attached one of my photo of natural fractals.

It is interesting the way the circular shapes curl over at the edges.
I wonder what the physical basis is for this type of form.
A difference in moisture content?
A spiral form of some sort - from the center of growth?
I think of lily pads too when looking at these shapes.
