This was all done in Kalles Fraktaler, the image took 10 GB of RAM.

I should really start looking into getting a new pc (which I already have) working. But I keep delaying it.

By the way, nice that you are also using gigapan.

I recently did phase one of getting a PC upgrade- getting an Rx 480 GPU, and I will be doing phase two soon, which will be a CPU/Motherboard/RAM upgrade.
