This image is something of a happy accident.

I've been on a real fractal kaleidoscope kick lately, and created a pattern I rather liked. I thought it looked rather Christmas-like, so I would turn it into a Christmas ornament (by wrapping the pattern on a sphere.) I accidentally triggered the "make kaleidoscope" action on an image that was already a kaleidoscope, so it got double transformation. I guess this is a double fractal, then. It's a mandelbrot set fractal that has has 2 IFS steps performed on it.

(I'm posting a fairly small version here. Be sure to click the image to go see a larger version in my PBase gallery. The original was created at 2880x2880, for printing.)
