Values of a near 0.5 generate seahorse-valley-esque Julia and Mandelbrot features in Antimatter and Supernova. Here, the Supernova perturbation parameter causes the lake attractor to drift away from zero and bifurcate. Its period is 3 but the seahorse-valley constraints on the shore line shape forces the lakelets into sinuous shapes composed of chained basin components.

The c-plane Mandelbrot in the vicinity of these parameters is especially fascinating; expect a zoom sequence posted soon.
