I just found this YouTube channel full of talks about applying Maths to Biology.
https://www.youtube.com/user/NIMBioS
Given that that's sort of where fractals tend to apply, I thought it might be interesting to you guys. Most of the talks focus on the mathematics of evolution and one of the talks (which I haven't watched yet so I can't say if it's actually interesting) is called "A fractal life"
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/44OPBmZYmoA&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/v/44OPBmZYmoA&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1</a>

Some of you may know John Baez. One of his talks is going to pop up there in the near future as well.
They also have a page where they stream all their live events if you prefer that:
http://www.nimbios.org/videos/livestream
(April 9th-11th, there will be an Investigative Workshop - i.e. one on the cutting edge of research - on "Information and entropy in biological systems" which Baez will take part in)
enjoy

humans are awesome, never heard of that "ergodic" theory, awesome to know that enthusiastic people are pushing away the leaves above the real thing wink
