A Buddhabrot itself would be THE Buddhabrot, an image from the Buddhabrot in the same way that we identify images as "Mandelbrot images". A Buddhabrot-STYLE image, though, would be one achieved by taking an escape-time fractal and plotting the paths of all of the points that eventually escape.

the standard formula for buddabrot is z^2+c, the standard mandelbrot formula, i once wrote a program which could plot
orbits of other fractals, but it is lost now ....

the points which result in an iteration step are called orbits

buddhabrot style fractals use the same rendering technique as flame fractals or standard ifs fractals
