The small black sphere is the starting point. strips of the same color represent the same time. You can see all kinds of possible universe shapes similar to what you might find illustrated in a related textbook.

It is always nice to see the geometric motivation so richly displayed, rather then the algebraic formulation, because we now can!

Fractal generators have come a long way since Benoits work inspired a generation of CGI animators.
