Castle of the Pumpkin King

http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=19583

Castle Skellington, home of Jack, The Pumpkin King, lies deep within the Fractal Seas, and it's where you'll find him taking a break from Halloween and getting a moon tan. Part of the "Castles of the Quantum Kings" series. Made with Mandelbulber OpenCL v 1.21, with a custom formula from mclarekin called "RefoldIntPow2."

This is in the series I've been calling "Castles of the Quantum Kings," and I actually have an embarrassment of riches here with the custom formula from mclarekin called "RefoldIntPow2." I'm working on some animation videos and I have a feeling I'm going to do this formula and Knighty's pseudo kleinian--to death, but I love it!

Here's a version of the first one without the mirrored ball. i must have done 8 different versions with different reflection patterns in the water. Those water reflections are just so much fun!

Fist of the Gods
Eli, and old man, rows his fisherman's boat out to die climbing the great mountain in the middle of the Scinthus Seas, that looks like a giant hand stretched to the heavens. The locals call it "Fist of the Gods" and Eli is determined to see what's at the top, and hopefully die trying. From the sci-fi novel by Stephen Sink (me!) called Fist of the Gods. Part of the "Castles of the Quantum Kings" series. Made with Mandelbulber OpenCL v 1.21, with a custom formula from mclarekin called "RefoldIntPow2."

Full sci-fi novel is here, if you're interested. http://www.stephensink.com/Lit_Files/Stephen_Sink_Fist_of_the_Gods-1_Sept_2005.pdf
Cheers!
