If you wish to see some really amazing examples of Fractals in Nature, then you should head over to the "Armonia fractal de Doñana y las marismas" web site.   (My Spanish is not too great, but I believe this means Harmony fractal of Doñana and the salt marshes.)

    http://armoniafractal.blogspot.com/

There are a lot of wonderful aerial photographs that show some great examples of what goes on in such places.   And you may also be interested in the video at the bottom of the page, which is only 1 of the 7 that are available for viewing.

I was turned onto this site by Terry Wright's recent posting on Orbit Trap that showed the image entitled "El árbol de agua" (The water tree), which was just one of several sites being presented.

What I really like about sites such as this, is that the person who basically is responsible for putting the web site together is the one who actually went out and did the photography work.  This is not somebody collecting images off the Internet to build a single web page that they have thrown together into a big jumble.  This person truly put some real effort in acquiring what the web visitors have come to appreciate.

but yet, if you hadn't stumbled upon this at a site like the photo blog - that in your opinion didn't have to spend real effort on the blog - you would probably never have seen the picture and learned about Hector Garrido (who really deserves huge respect for his work)

I would have eventually found that web site on my own, because I do a lot of searches for things relating to fractals.   So your above text is just a bunch of rambling and babbling, but that is to be expected, based upon the source.

Do you intend to go around to all of the over 2,240+ postings I have made just so you can try an ridicule them??   If so, you are more pathetic than I had originally found you to be.

oh my, there you go again. Just relax, man!
There is no reason to be rude.

And no, i don't go around your postings, I really have better things to do.

The subforum "fractals in nature" is one of the main reason why I'm here. And I look in here more often. (as well as everything regarding kalles fractaler, my favourit programm
If you make an old posting sticky (especially if it is not more informative than many others here) you should be able to cope with people reading and commenting in it, even if they don't have the same opinion.

I absolutely disagree that gathering knowledge in one place and making it easier for everyone to access is so much less "worth" than finding out small details in a very specialized area of knowledge. It's just different.
What do schools and universities do?  what do libraries do?
This is somehow what the internet is about. The interconnectedness of knowledge.
So I think you're missing the point.
And I don't see why I shouldn't write this in a thread where  someone says different.

I spend a lot of time gathering information about fractal philosophy and fractals in nature. And yes, I gather, from sources, from smart thinkers and from great photographers.
And I'm not a great photographer or film maker.
So why should I go out and do all this work again, if the best have already accomplished it?

Would you ask everyone who wants to use a car to invent the wheel by themselvse, the motor, steel and so on? Just because it 'deserves more respect'?
There would be no progress at all..

Within less than four minutes of each other, you replied to two Topics I started several years ago.   So for somebody that claims this particular Board is one of your main reasons for being here, to now all of a sudden take an interest in only my posts (and that is just today so far), really does not sound very plausible.

And then there are the replies to some of my other posts you made yesterday, which were in a whole different Board.   To those with any intelligence at all can see that you intend to go on with these tactics of yours.   Finding anything at all with my posts, no matter how old they may be, and seeing how you can find some way to disagree with what has been presented.

so you don't intend to respond to my points at all, where I wanted to respectful clear things up with valid arguments.

last try, as I already wrote: these 2 topics are 2 of 3 that were made sticky in the fractals in nature section some days ago. very probably by you.
so they appear on top of the list. they didn't when I last looked into my favourite subforum.
i tend to answer to new topics that are on top. if i finde them interesting.
or even to old ones that come to my attention.
because someone made them sticky. so they come to more peoples attention.

my replies yesterday, as also written in my previous post, were regarding my second favourit thing here on fractal forums which is kalles fraktaler.
(of which I believe actually deserves it's own little section in this forum.)

I don't see at all why I shouldn't post my thoughts in the topics that interest me.
it's not at all(!!) you who I'm interested in but the topics and the discussions.
this is what a public forum is there for in my opinion.

There is no tactics or some sinister masterplan involved. so relax.

I'll continue to post in the topics that I desire to.
