For the past couple of years, I've been working on a native Mac version of Ultra Fractal and this is now nearing completion! I've decided to release a public beta version to make sure to find and fix as many bugs as possible before the official release.

If you have a Mac and would like to try this beta version, you can download it here:

Any bug reports or comments in general are most welcome on the Ultra Fractal mailing list, or you can send them to me directly at info@ultrafractal.com.

This beta version is feature-complete and all features should work as designed, however there still might be bugs here and there. Note that the help file is not complete yet. The beta will expire on March 1, 2012.

To see what's new and different in the Mac version, open the Readme.txt file in the downloaded disk image.

Anyone who's both a Mac user and likes UF will definitely prefer the Mac version - assuming of course your Mac is as fast or faster than your Windows system/s
