Howdy,

This one took a while to process on YouTube -- to the tune of 6 hours -- but I hope it's worth it.  I love the beginning and am not so thrilled with the end until the *very* end.  Some of my notes:

1) I'm not as happy with the music as I could be...ah, well -- it's still fun. smiley

2)  I have NO idea how/why it's color cycling the way it is.  Did I miss a setting?

3) I wouldn't recommend taking down a fistful of goofballs before watching this one...  Just watched it full screen... yeah...

For your enjoyment:

Rendered in Mandelbulb3D
Assembled in KDEnLive 0.7.8
Music: "The Liminal Passage" by Eluveitie from the album "Everything Remains as it Never Was"

As always, comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks!

That was beautiful.  I liked the Celtic music, too.  The color cycling was a bit distracting, IMO, but still pretty cool in its own right, too.  I can see how you might go either way.  Anyhoo, nice work.

The strong color cycling is perhaps due to the adjustment with the "Col. var. on Z"
slider in the Object coloring tab.
It has to be adjusted very carefully to get a low varying from foreground to background,
and it is still a tricky part to keep the colors when zooming in... cant say if i can make it
better.  sad

Thanks Rev -- and I agree 100% about the cycling.  In the first part, I really like it.  Towards the end, it is a bit distracting.  Ah, well.  I'm glad you enjoyed it!

No worries, Jesse!  It's probably something I bonked in the settings, because I've not had anything whoosh off into color-cycle zippiness, before.  I should probably dig up the settings file and peruse it.
