Hey guys, Iv'e been really tripped out by Electric Sheep for the last year so I decided to learn how to make my own fractals/flames... I downloaded Oxidizer and decided to try it out.

You can download my short movie here: http://www.mediafire.com/?2buf2tb56nfassx

Can you tell me what the pixelation is all about around the edges? Is that just really bad compression? (meaning I need to boost up the quality) Also, why is it so grainy?

Thanks!

Wow, that's probably one of the best flame animation I have ever seen  :smiley shocked afro

Sorry.....just teasing cheesy embarrass
Here are also my first flame animations 20 months ago. I have not continued to do flames, but I think I made some progress in other fractal types, thanks to the help from people on this forum.

So welcome to the forum, so should get very good advice here. Yes the pixelation and grain is probably due to bad compression. I have never tried Oxidizer, but I think the most widely used combination for flame animations is Apophysis+Flam3
