These are worth the while, especially the relationship between Mandelbrot set and the Julia set, and very well presented.  He completely removes the "magic" of i [it becomes what it really is, a placeholder that means NOTHING TO THINK ABOUT until it is squared, at which time it becomes -1].  Simple.

I wish there was a similar presentation for the 3D fractals.

Thanks for posting these!  While I've been dabbling with fractals for over 20 years now, I've often felt like I've been piloting formula race cars without a clear idea how their wheels even work.  It's nice to now have at least a fundamental understanding of how julias and mandelbrots are plotted.  Thanks again!
