Hi all!  I've been away.  Thought I need to cool down from the scene.
I was the fractal crazy music guy and now I am just fractal crazy.  Planning on getting a MA in music at Durham, UK where a famous guy there studied fractal music, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Sherlaw_Johnson.

This was just an exercise in how to generate the mset mapped to 128 pitches,  -2.0 to 2.0.  It would reset once one value passed the other.

My first attempt just made a moire effect:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/IYNOpJUgXB0&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/IYNOpJUgXB0&rel=1&fs=1&hd=1</a>

it had just one metronome so the their was no depth in each recursive "x" or "y".

So I set the ("x","y")  to change by a different metronome so the initial recursion could play out and see if they would go chaotic at some point.

You will see it in the movie when it does.

Now a fractal generated piece that sounds more "aesthetically" 'pleasing' is my ultimate goal.
Here's one successful attempt yet with a few liberties in obvious ways.

...using this is a guide!

Cool technique. Have you tried set of more complicated functions? like sin(tan) , cos(arctan) & etc?

The most complex one I made was a journey through the Mandelbrot set.  Still a work in progress.  If interested I can make a new video with my latest version.
