Rendered by my Julia3D software, ray tracing mode, three minutes a frame. The basic shape is Figure Eight Knot. It is covered by a combination power and Menger box fractals.

The Figure Eight Knot parametric function is:

x = (2 + cos(2t)) * cos(3t)
y = (2 + cos(2t)) * sin(3t)
z = sin(4t)

where 0 < t < 2 PI
