Hi there,

Here comes my 3rd mandelbox animation. Two sequences from the same (very basic) mandelbox in a pretty pink/blue color palette. This time I added a bit of motion blur for extra smooth fly. Made with the last version of Mandelbulb 3d (again, thank you so much Jesse !).

You can download the original file - the one I uploaded on Vimeo, so before the last compression - for a week if you have a free Vimeo account. Hope you'll like it !

Happy new year & best wishes for 2011 !!!

Holy crap Ricardo and Jesse, this is a thing of beauty. Amazing structures - there's a lifetime of exploration to be had here. And the uncompressed version I downloaded from vimeo is breathtaking, visually. Great, great work. I got so excited at around 1'35" when the dense section swam into view and I realised we'd be going in there. There is a strange breeze that whips up some dust (or so it seems) around 3'52"! And what parameter is changing during the early morphing portion of the second half of the video, while it dezooms (roughly 2'56" - 3'27")?

Thank you for the very positive feedback guys ! I wish I wasn't so lazy to render with 2x anti-alias^^

GussetCrimp you are right, there are lots of tiny structures floating around and the fog seems to "stick" to them in a pretty good looking way. This is the first time I use so much fog and I think I'll do that again ; fog helps a lot with distant objects that tends to disappear when getting closer to foreground objects.

As for the parameter tweak I can't tell you right now because I'm not at home, though I think it's just the formula's scale which is changing from a negative value to another closed one.
