I was going to put "Hi" as the subject line, but it's definitely overused.  Yo felt more original.

My dad emailed me a link here, so I figured I might as well come check it out.  It looks like a cool board, although I don't know too much about fractals (yet  wink ).  I'm doing an undergrad math degree at oxford university at the moment

Yo back atcha. Sounds like you're in the right place, there's plenty of math around. Maybe you can sneak a little fractal fun into your studies. smiley

For some reason, this brings to mind the question of whether my dad or someone he knows frequents this forum, since he must have learned of its existence somehow.

There is plenty of experience and knowledge available here.  And it covers many areas/topics from mathematical and technical to the artistic and imaginative.

I see you have been a fairly active member of the forum at physicsmathforums.com
