Hi,

I'm new here but not new to fractals. On my website at http:www.beatrixwillius.de and at http://trixiwillius.deviantart.com are images from KPT, Quadrium, Artmatic and Fractal Architect. Mostly I've doodled around. Now I want to learn to be a bit more active in creating my fractals.

Regards

Beatrix Willius

Hi Beatrix,

welcome "on Board"! You've got some nice fractal images on your website. I'm sure you'll find a lot of suggestions here for your own fractal art.

I'm still fascinated by the "old-school" 2D Mandelbrot Set fractals which I first explored on an 8-bit home computer (C64) in the good old Eighties. To me it almost appears like a wonder that such complex and beautiful images can result from a simple formula like Z->Z²+C, combined with a very simple coloring method. Of course, as a software developer I only use my own fractal image generator, written in pure JavaScript (slow, but runs in any browser). smiley More info and images on my website (mostly in German).

These days with gpus the fractals are coming out faster and faster!  being able to compute the pixels individually!
