Hi people,

I'm new here (obviously) but not new to fractals.
I haven't got a website, but I do have a few pictures and animations. These don't have any artistic value (except for the beauty of the fractals themselves) because most were made for mathematical experiments. Most of the questions I wanted to answer with these experiments have probably been answered for a long time, but I havn't got the time nor patience to search for the answers in mathematical papers or that bottomless pit of (dis)information called the internet dink.

So I was hoping to find people to discuss things with here.

I've been looking around through a few threads here and found some very impressive pictures, wow.

CU all
Karl

PS: Two dumb remarks concerning the operation of this website:
- when creating an account, the password is sent back openly readable in the confirmation email?! Thanks Undecided
- when changing the password (see above) the machine claims I changed my email-address and wants to verify that again; interesting  evil1

PPS: any grammatical errors or possibly offending formulations are probably due to the fact that english is not my native tongue - please be patient with me - thank you!

Hi Trifox,

thanks for your welcome.
Nice to meet another german first  dink

What I first wanted to discuss has to do with the Sierpinski Tetrahedron(Gasket, whatever).
(Yes, that thing that can be seen zillions of times anywhere...)
Since there is an extra board (under IFS) for that thing I should probably go there to post?

Greetings
Karl

Hi Karl,
to say & to understand what we like to do in a foreign
language is not always an easy Job :-)))

For my german feeling of * English * , whenever it´s
already a bit old - I think that´s ok ! :-)

So I say * Welcome * & and send greetings
from the Rhein / Main area here in Germany :-)))

Hi Margit,

thank you for your welcome.
So you are in the Rhein-Main area; interesting.
I'm living in Lübeck, as my profile states, but I
was born in Neustadt/Weinstraße and lived there
for 6 years before we moved into the north...

( och näää, ä pälzä  dink )

Greetings

And a belated Welcome from America!

I thought I responded to this, but I guess I missed one.

Glad to see more people joining with an understanding of the theory behind all this wonderful art!  I'm still studying a bit on the side, but I have nowhere near the time I'd like to spend on this stuff.

I look forward to more of your ideas.  The Sierpinski Tetrahedron theory was interesting and fun, regardless of the outcome!

Enjoy your stay here at Fractalfoums.

Thank you again! I guess I should have posted that in the "theory" board; maybe the other people interested in theory would have found it more easily and had shown me the error of my ways  angel1

Sorry for the delay in my response, but I was mostly offline today for RealLife(tm) reasons.

Have a nice day
Karl
