Mandelbulber is now in official Debian repository. It went few day ago from Sid to Wheezy repository. If somebody uses testing version of Debian, it is possible to install it directly using apt-get.
Ubuntu users can also install it by downloading package from Debian Packages website: http://packages.debian.org/testing/math/mandelbulber
Thanks to Giovanni Mascellani for maintaining this package.
