Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and to Mandelbulber, I've just begun experimenting a bit and reading here and there to learn.

I've read in the wiki a tip about relation between fractal resolution and image resolution.
However I think it was related to old 1.xx versions, since I cannot find a fractal resolution parameter in v2.02 windows...

Could you please comment if that tip is still valid for Mandelbulber 2.xx and how it can be applied?

So... probably the answer is: "Detail level" in the "Rendering engine" tab.
It seems to behave exactly as described in the wiki.

yep, 800x600 Detail Level 4 is the same quality as 3200x2400 Detail Level 1. Increase the length of side by 4 means decrease Detail Level by 4

Detail Level is the  Dynamic DE threshold factor.  Detail Level 1 = DE threshold equals to 1 screen pixel.
