Is there a way to get the color palette to automatically update on the image, without re-calculating it?

I remember with Mandelbulber 1.2, it would do this.  Not having the image update automatically makes it harder to work with the color palette.

This feature cannot be implemented in Mandelbulber v2. It is because actual rendering engine doesn't allow that. It was in old Mandelbulber (v1), but it limited implementation of many volumetric effects.

Actually the best way is to use auto-refresh option in Mandelbulber v2 which re-renders image automatically if any parameter is changed. It works quite fast because there is used progressive render.
