It was brought to my attention by 0Encrypted0 on Deviantart, that I had created an image, http://fav.me/d5kjmef using a formula (AboxSmoothFold2),that is not available in the lastest version of MB3Dv1.8.2. It only contains ABoxSmoothFold. He does not have this formula.
I had saved the formulas from previous versions before I upgraded to the next. That probably explains why I have this formula. Is there a reason why this has not been included in MB3D 1.8.2.?

I can't check just now, but could it be in the additional formulas darkbeam released?  None of those are included in the main program  afro

Sometimes you just need to do a manual search for the formula by clicking the (load a new Formula) Folder Icon, the Ini sometimes seems to miss 1 or 2 formulas. Find it if it's there, choose and load it, after that it loads automatically if called for, happend to me a few times. If you do a manual search and truely don't have the formula...make sure you are using the latest v1.8.2 as it should have all formulas except Luca's Latest which can be gotten here

If you still can't find it I might have it cause I have stayed as Updated as I can and never throw antyhing away, if I don't have it then were both pissed and out of luck unless Luca has it stashed away somewhere...

 u=sgn(x)*xp;

Also radius folding is smooth (beware! don't use minr = 1 or out of range 0-1 !!!);

 m=(1+minr)/2; n=(1-minr)/2; r1=(r-m)/n; rs=sgn(r1); r1=abs(r1);
 rp=r1**p; (fast int pow)
 r = rs*((rp+r1)/(rp+1) * n) + m;

This "smoothens" the folding function, replacing the "sawtooth" fold with a smooth curve
Result is very similar to standard ABox but with a bit of detail loss and "curvy" details...
Higher sharpness -> You get closer and closer to standard ABox...

I hope ABoxSmoothFold2 will be included in future releases even if it is considered to be buggy.

I was going to try and tweak one of your pieces (internal combustion engine) but it seems I too am missing this formula. I tried copying and pasting to textedit (i'm on osx) and saving as an .m3f then loading this into mandelbulb3d, but i get the error

 'This formula is an old one, only versions 2 to 8 are allowed in this program version'.

I was hoping I had it backed up too, but can't find it anywhere and the '1741' build doesn't seem accessible via downloads section.  sad cry 

Is anyone else able to upload this? Or maybe tell me how to format the code differently so that MDB3d v1.8.9 can load it?

Yes thank you, this file works, it does however output a slightly different render to Grahams original. I saw a post from Luca on DeviantArt saying that the two ABoxSmoothFold formulae were pretty much the same, but one was glitchy, so I simply  duplicated and renamed the one I do have to 'ABoXSmoothFold2' - just so I could load the render and get a similar result. It worked and I think , unless I am mistaken, it produced the same outcome as the file you uploaded.
