not sure about this as i haven't had the same problem, do you still have the old pc? You could try saving to text, then open from clipboard. (Also your video seems to be set to private)

You're trying to open an msi file?

Not surprised Mandelbul3D is confused - I am too!

The msi file extension is unrelated to MB3D - try an m3i file instead!

If that was just a typo - please post one of the files if the size is small enough for attachments  (Mandelbulb3D uses m3i, m3p, m3v, m3a, and even the new m3c extension - but no msi).

I'm just a n00b, but I've noticed that if the location of the m3i's/Mandelbulb 3D is changed, they won't open. Saving the parameters in a text file seems to avert the problem. I usually use the m3i's when I'm actively working on a project, and then convert to text to archive, upon completion. Some of my m3i's run almost a gig...don't want too many of those around.

I never experienced that.  I move m3i's all over the place - even to different computers  (sometimes from a PC to a MAC running MB3D under WINE!).

I treat the actual program as portable too - never an issue moving the program folder either.

One other possibility I just thought of besides the misnamed msi extension : did you check the ini directories?  Is there an error message about missing formulas in the little "info" window when you try to load an old file?  Often one needs to reset the Ini Directories top point to the correct folder with all the m3f formulas or it can't find anything!

Good luck with it and let us know more information if none of this helps.
