Hi folks,

this is, for me, a strange discovery. I don't know if it's obvious to everyone else or whether it's a glitch and won't be replicable long term but...

fiddling around with the Beta version of M3D, I have suddenly found myself with only the lightmap as a manipulatable object.
It is like there is no formula to map it on to (even though there were formulas originally loaded, the saved copy on another pc has since
missed them off). The colour map can have its colour changed by the other maps in the lightmap directory - and the diffuse also works
as does the navi (though you might not see the effect until you put it in the anim window or 'calculate' it). the object scale, offset
and mode works, unfortunately no julia or morphing between maps.

for anyone who is interested,
I have attached a brief anim file as it is small. It uses map no. 21 but any will do. to see the effect quickly, simply render preview -
or you could do a full render if you really must. To overwrite the usual load, you need to click the 'parameter to main' button on the anim window.
it is possible to save pictures and even M3i files of what you create.

I don't know if folk will find a use for it, but it might open up some background image possibilities and so I've passed it on for further testing.

hope it works and that someone finds it of some use.

regards
kam

well, of course, maps are not interpolated in the 'usual' loading of the program, so I din't expect it in this, what? glitch?

But, surprisingly, no one seems surprised about it, so it must be normal.  cheesy
